Traveling with children is not easy. And finding places to eat that will please four adults and two children is almost impossible . . .
Almost.
But we have found some fabulous places that need to be shared.
And we've had lots of fun doing it!!

Oh, my goodness! What a great find. First, we ordered the wing basket which was unbelievable! Different from any we've ever tasted. Smokey, not too hot or spicy, but many sauces to choose from if you needed more heat. Don and I ordered the ribs. Tender, falling off the bone, smoked ribs. Best ever. My side was the fried green tomatoes and Don got the fried okra. No, I'm tellin' ya. These folks know how to fix this stuff. Yummy. And they're not even from Tennessee! Our daughter and son-in-law ordered the pulled pork sandwiches. Loved them as did our granddaughter who had the child's plate. Our grandson had the chicken tenders and mac and cheese. Everything came with hush puppies to die for. The place was packed at 7:30 on a Friday night and there was live music. Restrooms were clean and the atmosphere was fun and friendly. Yes, that's a wild boar's head on the wall still wearing a Santa hat in February. Just that kind of place. And obviously a local favorite but easily accessible from the I-81. Fantastic! Best Greek food ever. Stuffed grape leaves had a wonderful flavor. Kids had shaved beef, adults all had chicken or turkey gyro sandwiches. Owner came out and visited with us. Delightful experience. Visited February 2019

We loved the Mexican restaurant beside our favorite hotel, Embassy Suites North in Indianapolis.This was not the typical, 8-page Mexican restaurant. It provides great choices, some unusual some usual, kid-friendly.Visited January 2019
